Background

TQF exclusively selects young women that demonstrate strong academic and leadership potential but may have factors that could prevent them from achieving their greatest potential.  TQF identifies young women within the public schools of North Carolina that fit specific criteria to place them in an intensive long-term leadership development program.  The outcomes of this program is that each young woman goes on to higher education and becomes a leader in both her career and community.

Girls completing TQF's program become competitive and confident to apply for scholarships, internships and college admittance.

Programs include Leadership Academy, Service Learning and Mentoring.  Select opportunities include summer internships and scholarships for students that successfully complete the program.

TQF provides scholarships, career-based internships, college preparation training and resources to young women that demonstrate the greatest academic potential and need. Girls completing TQF programs are more competitive and prepared to be accepted into a college or university for a field of their interest. While its a young organization, TQF has made substantial impact in the lives of young women and communities in North Carolina and its growing.  Since its inception in 2010,TQF has reached over 150 young women in NC and awarded over two dozen scholarships.

Client Population & Demographics

TQF currently serves 204 girls in seven counties within North Carolina, with growth of up to 50 additional girls added to the program each year.
